Klein Cain High School was a newly-constructed school whose design included a multitude of murals throughout the school, both vinyl and painted.
Simply Artistic was contracted to paint 13 murals throughout the school, to include the competition gym, auxiliary gym, small weight room, meeting room, cheer room, athletic corridor, natatorium and training room. Some rooms included more than one mural.
The unique, challenging yet fun task was to paint lettering with one shade of purple fading into 2 different lighter shades of purple and adding lightning strikes inside the purple backgrounds within the letters. This also required painting thin outlines on the lettering utilizing the same various purple shades and keeping the outlines distinct from the letters. Airbrushing is a perfect way to achieve this look.
